WEDDING.
FITZGERALD—McCOOL. The marriage was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Hawera, on Wednesday, April 17, of Dr. Thoma-s Michael Fitzgera'd, eider son of Mr and the late Mrs Fitzgerald, of Hawera, to Mary, fourth daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Alexander McCocl “Raukawa,” Ashhhrst. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Monsignor Cullen, who celebrated Nuptial Mass, assisted by Rev. Fathers Wall and Heavey. Escorted by her brother, Mr A. P. McCool, of Woodville, the bride wore a beautiful gown of magnolia satin cut on classical lines. The skirt, which was appliqued with lace, fell to form, a slight train. The veil, which was embroidered in magnolia 6atin, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of cream roses, pom-pom dahlias, and asparagus and maidenhair fern, completing a beautiful toilette. .. There were two bridesmaids m attendance, Miss Julia Golder, of Hukanui, niece of the bride, and Miss Mary Fitzgerald, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in graceful frocks of apricot’French lace faconne. They wore picture hats of the shade and carried bouquets of apricot rose pom-pom dahlias and asparagus and maidenhair fern; Mr C. Fitzgerald, brother of the bridegroom, carried out the duties of best man and Mr M. Canii was groomsman. The u&hers were Messis J. Corby and Jl McCarty. A reception was held at which over 100 <niests were received by Mrs J. Corby, sister of the bride, who was wearing a French blue model frock over which was worn a musquash fur coat. She had a shoulder spray to tone. Mrs Corby was assisted by Miss M. Dwyer, who wore a henna wool suit, brown fur stole, brown accessories and shoulder spray to tone. Dr. and Mrs T. M. Fitzgerald left later for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a teal green tailored suit with hat to match, and brown accessories, and she carried a musquash fur coat. Among those present were: Mrs Tierney (Palmerston North), and Mrs Rarleyman (Kaponga) aunts of the bride; Mr E. Stack (Paliiatua), uncle of the bride; Mrs T. Golder (Hukanui), Mr and Mrs W. Toohey (Makino), Mr and Mrs J. McCool (Whakarongo), Mr and Mrs A. 1. McCool, Mr and Mrs D. McCool (Woodville) Mr and Mrs M. McCool (Ashliurst), Mrs J. Bolger, Misses N. and J. Bolger (Kaponga), Mr and Mrs D. P Malone, Miss M. Malone, Messrs B. and D. Malone (Kaponga), Mr J. Fitzgerald, Mrs Murphy, Dr. and Sirs Buist, Mrs Manson, Mr and Mrs H. Squire, Mr and Mrs A.
