(From Our Own Correspondent.) SHANNON, May 8. Present at the School Committee meeting on Alonday evening were Alessrs Aloody (chairman). Haleley, Birss, Goodwin, Gyde, Sherwood, Peni, Ilenncssy, and Airs Stern. The question of extending the school bus service to Kuku Road, in order to meet the requirements of children coming from the district, was left in the hands of the bus proprietor and, the parents concerned to see if some arrangement can be made to meet tho request. Alessrs Goodwin and Gyde were appointed a visiting committee for Alay. The secretary presented a financial state-' rnent, it being resolved to make an effort to raise certain moneys. Alessrs Moody-/-Hateley, Goodwin and Mrs Stern were appointed the school’s representatives on the dental clinic committee. Tlie committee decided that the school dental clinic should be put on a sound financial basis. It was resolved to improve the heating of Standards I and II rooms, and to make an inspection of the school grounds with a view to carrying out improvements. The question of installing electric light at the baths was left over. The committee placed on record appreciation of the Services rendered to the school for the past four years by Aliss Finlay, infant mistress. who lias taken up a position in Feilding.
