RED CROSS HELP. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 9. The president of the New Zealand Red Cross Society (Dr. Gillies) has telegraphed to the Mayor of Dunedin regretting the Taieri flood and saying that the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund is available to co-operate in relief and asking for the extent of the damage and the assistance required.
