SECONDARY SCHOOLS.

HEADS CONFER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 7. The annual conference of the Association of Heads of Secondary Schools was held in Wellington to-day. the president (Mr R. G. C. McNab) presiding. The conference was visited bv the Minister of Education (Hon. H. G. R. Mason) and the Director of Education (Dr. C. E. Beeby), both of whom expressed appreciation of the association’s work. Addresses were given by Mr McNab and Mr P. A. Smithells (Superintendent of Physical Education for the Education Department). The election of officers resulted: President; Mr Noel Gibson, Auckland; vice-president, Miss Irene Wilson, Wellington : secretary. Miss E. Edwards, Auckland; treasurer, Mr AV. C. Morris. Auckland; executive committee, Bro. Borgia, Auckland, Messrs J. B. Mawson, Christchurch, and F. W. Gilligan, Wanganui. The executive headquarters will be at Auckland.
