HARRIERS’ WHISTLE RUN.
Held in fine weather on Saturday, the Feilding harriers’ 4J-mile whistle run attracted a good field. The runners set off in two packs. Successful in the run in of 600 yards were R. Evans, E. Sfrawbridge and D. Whittaker, with a dead-beat between L. Barrett and R. Lamberton for fourth place. E. Strawbridge is a new member this year and with training should make good performances. D. Whittaker, who showed up well last season, is developing similar form. L. Barrett, as a member of the Athletic Club, had successes towards the end of the track season and his splendid physique and ability to run ensure him a successful season with tho harriers. The junior champion, G. Whittaker, is also shaping well again this season.
