SALVATION ARMY.
LEADERS WELCOMED. At the Salvation Army citadel, on Sunday, the opportunity was taken to welcome Licut.-Commissioner and Mrs Evan Smith and a large attendance of Salvationists listened to inspiring addresses given by both leaders on organisation matters, the speakers emphasising that the Salvation Army was prepared for all eventualities. With the world in a chaotic condition the Army had to' be ready at all times to render service, and, come what may, it would ho in,a position to dp its utmost-to alleviate .suffering and distress. The organisation had been intensified and strengthened to meet an emergency of any kind. , : . Major A. Hildreth, assistant divisional commander for the Wellington-Central-North area, _ was in charge of the services at Feilding, and Major n” fl Mrs Martin Brown, who leave F’eilding this week, participated in the morning and evening services. Major and Mrs Brown, who have been stationed at Feilding for two rnd a half years, have been transferred to Napier. Captain and Mrs Elliott Major, of Kilbirnic, will succeed Major and Mrs Brown at Feilding and will he welcomed this week. ' < ~
