FUNERAL SERVICES

LATE MISS E. DIGBY. At the funeral of the late Miss Edna Digby, of Apiti, on Sunday, many beautiful wreaths were received, including those of the Methodist Women’s Guild, Apiti, and the Apiti High School (2). Rev*. J. Ashworth, Methodist minister, conducted the services at the home and at the cemetery. The following were the pallbearers : Messrs K. Bielski, L. Patterson, H. Wildbore, W. Osborne, A. Digby and J. Simpson; and Messrs M. and C. McKay, D. McKenzie, D. Strachan, E. Osborne and W. Pratt. LATE MRS C. PEARSE. The funeral of the late Mrs C. Pearse, of Wellington Street, Feilding, took place on Saturday, there being a large attendance of relatives and friends. Members of the Feilding Old Boys’ Football Club (Messrs J. Finlay, FI. Brock, K. Whisker, N. Bramwell, FI. Waugh and J. Dewe) acted as bearers at the residence, while, at the cemetery Messrs M. Wilson and F. A. Pearse, R. Berry, H. Pearson and E. Brewer were the pall-bearers, these gentlemen being relatives of the deceased lady. Rev. A. L. Dixon was the minister at both services. The numerous wreaths received included tributes from Messrs Bortliwick and Sons and the office and outside employees, Feilding Old Bovs’ Football Club and members of the Feilding lootball executive. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends has been extended to Mr Pearse and his daughter in their loss. V
