(From Our Own Correspondent.) A PITT, May 7. The annual meeting of the general committee of St. Luke’s Anglican Church was held on Friday evening. Rev. F. E. Floury presided over a fair attendance. The secretary (Mr W. J. Vilcs) gave,,the .report, which showed a year of steady 'endeavour. The financial statement, presented'- by the treasurer (Mrs M. E. A. Martin),, showed an increase of some £3O as against the previous year’s balance. A substantial sum had been raised by the Ladies’ Guild. Both the local and parochial balance-sheets were adopted. Tho ,* magazine account, which is entirely voluntary, showed a credit balance. Tho committee stands the same as last year, with' tho exception of Mrs J. H. Cowan, who did not seek re election. Delegates to centre committee are Mrs Martin and Mr N. J. Vilps. A letter of thanks is to be sent to Mr Billings for auditing. Thanks wore also expressed to Miss Prujean, Brian Prujean, and Mr A. E. Prujean for services rendered. The vicar thanked the executive officers, lay reader (Mr R. C. J. Martin), Ladies’ Guild and tho organistes,' (Mcsdamcs H. L. Osborne and S. F. Morris). Appreciation of Mr and Mrs Fleury’s interest knd faithful service was expressed. The date of tho next quarterly meeting was set for July at Mrs'Prujean’s home. Mosdamcs H. G. Mapson, C. McKenzie and Mr and Mrs O. Jensen have all returned from Wellington this week.
