TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD.

VISIT TO AWAPUNI HOME. A visit was paid to the Awapuni Home, recently, by members of the Townswomen’s Guild glee circle, who gave'a delightfuL programme for the entertainment/of the inmates. Led by Mrs W. B. Bigham (convener) a number of glees were presented, and solos were sung by Mesdames L. Sadd, A. Hunt and Pascoe and duets by Mesdames A. Pritchard and C. Jamieson. Mesdames Bigham and J. C. Riddle played pianoforte duets and also accompanied the items, and Mrs Fowles gave recitations. The programme concluded with a community sing, and Mr H. J. Canton thanked the visitors for the pleasure they had given the inmates.
