INTER-CLUB MATCH. On Wednesday afternoon members of the Manatvatu Ladies’ Golf Club played a match with tho Palmerston North Club on the Awatapu links. A most: enjoyable afternoon was spent, nearly all the games going to a very close finish. The visitors were afterwards entertained by the Palmerston North ladies. /' ■ Following are the detailed results of the ' games. Manawatu players mentioned first :—Miss N. Smillie beat Mrs J. At the conclusion of play, Mrs L. F. Speechley apologised for the absence of Mrs L. Seifert and Mrs L. F. Cooper, who were unable to be present, and also expressed thanks on behalf of the Manawatu players. Mrs C. V. Ciochetto' replied for the Palmerston North Club and cheers were exchanged.
