INTER-CLUB MATCH. On Wednesday afternoon members of the Manatvatu Ladies’ Golf Club played a match with tho Palmerston North Club on the Awatapu links. A most: enjoyable afternoon was spent, nearly all the games going to a very close finish. The visitors were afterwards entertained by the Palmerston North ladies. /' ■ Following are the detailed results of the ' games. Manawatu players mentioned first :—Miss N. Smillie beat Mrs J. French, Mrs L. F. Speechley beat Mrs H; W. Mullaney, Mrs E. It. Wimsett beat Mrs D. H. Cook, Miss P. MacDonald lost to Mrs E. Wilson, Miss K. Garner lost to Mrs J. B. Curd, Mrs I. C. Robinson beat Mrs Ei: Simpson, l Miss L Rutledge beat-Mrs B. Clarice, Miss S. Thomson beat Mrs R. McMurray, Mrs C. G. Moore beat Mrs E. Pearse, Mrs J. C. Young lost to Mrs A. J. Berryman, Mrs C. G. Dermer beat Mrs H. Bayley, Mrs R. H. Billens lost to Mrs T. K. Fraser, Mrs E. J. Wills beat Mrs M. Heald, Mrs B. Horton lost to Mrs C. Millington, Mrs V. Sutton lost to Mrs N. V. Ballinger, Mrs M. Ongley beat Mrs J. C. Johnston, Mrs F. Scott lost to Miss J. Gaustad, Mrs A. E. Carrington lost to Mrs W. Montgomery, Miss A. Cope lost to Mrs C. F. Wilkie.—Manawatu, 10 wins; Palmerston North, 9. At the conclusion of play, Mrs L. F. Speechley apologised for the absence of Mrs L. Seifert and Mrs L. F. Cooper, who were unable to be present, and also expressed thanks on behalf of the Manawatu players. Mrs C. V. Ciochetto' replied for the Palmerston North Club and cheers were exchanged.
