CO-OP. WOMEN’S GUILD.

Tlio annual nieeti.ng of the s|anawatu Co-operative Women’s Guild was held recently, Mrs Harrod presiding. A special welcome was accorded Mrs Kane, from the Scottish Co-operative Society, who is visiting New Zealand. The president’s report stated another successful year had been experienced. The guild was fortunate in having an efficient and energetic secretary in Mrs F. Robertson. Mrs Tlarrod thanked members for her election to a position on the management committee of the Co-operative- Society. Appreciation was also expressed to all who had helped the guild. It was hoped that the coming year, in spite of the war, would be a profitable one and that the movement would continue to grow in New Zealand as it had in every other part of the worldim international organisation; with its aims and objects to end war and bring a lasting peace to the peoples of the world. The secretary read the balance-sheet, which showed a satisfactory credit balance. The election of officers resulted : President, Mrs Harrod ; vice-president. Mrs 0. C. King; secretary, Mrs F. Robertson; committee, Mcsdames Kennedy, Mason, Scott, M. Cantlon, A. Williams; tea convener, Mrs 0. C. King. The hostesses were Mcsdames 0. C. King and Kennedy.
