7\Trs JTendlo presided over the sixth birthday of the Kopano Women's Institute, held at -Mrs Mpaper's home. The mend',ers stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Mr .1). Warner, formerly the Tvopane Rchool teacher. .Miss J-|. Martin sang a solo. The competition results were: Mrs Morris’s competition. Mrs Learmonth; Mrs .Meager’s, Mrs Jones; Mrs Jones’s, Miss L. Itnssell ; Mrs Itoddv’s, Mrs Morris; Mrs Marshall’s, Miss H. Martin. There was no birthday cake, ns the memhors had decided to donate the money toward the soldiers’ parcels scheme. Mesdamcs Martin and Glasgow were chosen as delegates to the Mannwatii council meeting. The memhors are co-operating in a hazaar to ho liohl at ilongotca for tlic K.S.A. (jticen candidates.
