GIFT AFTERNOON
At the resilience of Mrs E. A. Collins, Amesburv Street, the ladies fro in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Clitircn choir and friends entertained one ol their fellow members at a sift afternoon. The guest of honour was Miss Janet Beauchamp, whose marriage will shortly take place, and the hostesses were Miss A. Collins and Mcsdamcs 11. Inl<pen and H. C. Drake. Items which {rave much pleasure were vocal solos by Mrs Tucker and Miss Toxic McDonald ; competitions given by Mcsdamcs Inkpen and Drake were won by Mrs 11. Donald and Miss Slater. A buffet afternoon tea was served in the spacious dining-room, which was decorated with howls of asters in lovely rich tunings. Miss Beauchamp, who was called on to open numerous parcels, was accorded musical honours and later returned thanks. Among those present were: — 'Aleadames E. A. Collins. J'. Emmett, and Miss Joan Emmett, Mcsdamcs Tucker. 11. Donald, llickard. Misses S. Collins, E. Ham, J. Barr. Slater, and L. McDonald. A number of apologies were received from friends unable to be present.
