GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL.
ATHLETIC SPORTS. The annual athletic sports of the Palmerston North Girls' High School were held yesterday in pleasant weather, though a fairly strong breeze prevailed, preventing the setting up of new records. A number of parents and friends were present. Airs J. 13. Sankey, who was introduced bv the principal (Aliss E. E. Stephens), presented the cups at the conclusion of the events. Afternoon tea was served in the assembly hall, which was decorated with chrysanthemums in autumn tones. Hollowing were the house colours: Blue ,(B.), brown (Br.), purple (P.), red (11.), orange (0.), green (G.). The championship points were won as follow:
