SHANNON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) SHANNON, April 23. There was an attendance of 62 at the meeting- of householders held in die school on Monday evening, Xlr A. F. Bires presiding. In presenting the report, the chairman said that two notable events during the term were the school jubilee, and to the committee all were indebted, for their organisation and successful function. '1 he opening of the swimming baths was the second event of note; those should prove of inestimable value to the school. The chairman extended appreciation to the previous committee for their spade-work in connection with the bath*. The report placed on record .thanks to the headmasters and his staff for their co-operation with the committee, and their interest in all phases of school life. There were 15 nominations for the School Committee and the following were elected: Xfessrs B. Hatley, A. I‘. Birsa, C. Goodwin, J. J. Hennessey, I. Peni,' K. T. Moody, (J. IX Gydc, L. S. Sherwood, and Mrs C. Stern. Mr I'.. J. Moody was elected chairman and Mr B. Hatley secretary. The headmaster (Mr Dickinson) said he was organising a parents’ day at the school and ho hoped that all parents would take the opportunity to see the children at their work and to inspect the school.
