CROQUET.
CLOSING DAY AT NORTHERN CLUB. The Northern Croquet Club concluded its season on Wednesday with a varied programme of competitions. The president (Mrs T. Simpson) presented the following cups won during the season, each of which carried a miniature:—Mrs H. Brown, Beattie Cup; Mrs McMurray, Laurie Cup; Mrs Connor. Simpson Cup; Mrs Reed, Northern Cup; Mrs Walker, Bryant Cup. Wednesday points trophies: A section, Mrs K. McDonald : B section, Mrs Reed; C section, Mrs D. J. Lovelock. Shoulder sprays made by Mrs W. M. Tapp were presented to the committee. Competition winners were; Hurry scurry, Mesdames Brown and Anstis; take-off, Mrs Simpson; angles, Mrs Duncalfj French, Mrs "West; lucky number, Mrs Forsythe. The following donated trophies: Mesdames Killick. Wilson, Gainer, Simpson, K. McDonald and Lee.
