RANGITIKEI.
MARTON, April 17. Several Red Cross workers yesterday conducted a shop which yielded £55 10s 6d for the society’s funds. At a recent meeting convened for the purpose of forming a basketball club ' in Marton, Miss K. Labes was elected to tho chair. It was decided to form a, Marlon Basketball Club and tho following wore elected officers: Patron, Mr E. B. Gordon, M.P.; vice-presidents, 12 were elected; committee,- Misses, P. Hammond, M. Down, E. Labes, and R. Christian; coaches, Miss Labes and Miss L. Cameron.
