BRITISH DRAMA LEAGUE.
CENTENNIAL FESTIVAL. Air G. TT. Lusk presided over a meeting of tit Mannwatu area council of the British Drama League last evening. A letter was received from Mr F. A'. Sanderson, secretary of tho Wellington area, giving information about the forthcoming national Centennial oneact play competition and this was the particular business of the meeting. It was intimated that there would probably be two entries each from tho Repertory and Little Theatre Societies and several from the Women's Institutes, the Technical School, and possibly St. Andrew’s Drama Circle. Aliss Al. Alortland was asked to ex-i ploro the possibility of gathering together an area team to enter, and Aliss Grant promised to put the same proposal to the Women’s Institutes inj Alanawatu and Oroua Federations. The secretary was asked to draw the ; attention of societies and individuals! interested in drama, to the fact, that | this competition was open to any team (four or more persons), irrespective of whether they were affiliated to the British Drama League or not. It was also decided to ask the various societies, in the area to keep their members acquainted with the progress of arrange- 1 merits. j
