(From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIT UNA, April 15. At a meeting of the Women’s Institute Mrs K. E. Pearce presided. Final arrangements were made for the birthday dance. Mrs Meads ofl'orcd to make the cake and Mrs A. 12. Shannon to ice it. Mrs Johnson gave a travel talk on her tour of the Rotorua district. The competition for the best decorated vase was won by Miss Shannon 1, Mrs P. Shannon 2, Airs T. D. Stokes 3; flower, Airs T. D. Stokes 1, Mrs A. E. Shannon 2, Airs Stokes 3. Next month members arc to bring gifts for a soldier s pared, which will bo packed ready for posting. The competitions for the May meeting will be: Soldier’s knitted balaclava, and best flower from the garden. The hostesses were Aliss Shannon and Airs P. Shannon.
