LITTLE THEATRE DANCE.

A non- and most successful venture liy the Little Theatre Society was the holding of a dance, organised by the social committee, oil Saturday night in the Little 'Theatre, when members of the Air Force and officers of the Maori Battalion wore the guests of the society. There was a very large attendance | of members and friends and the green I and cream decorations made a fitting | background for many pretty frocks. The orchestra was seated on the front of the stage where stood bowls of dali- | lias and spindleberries, and shrubs, the | back being curtained off for supper, 'the supper tables boro vases of roses, dahlias and autumn leaves. Mr H. G. ilaguall, president of the society, and Airs Jiagnall were host and hostess, the latter wearing black lace over oyster satin and the social committee comprised Mrs G. C. Petersen (convener), who wore black georgette and lace; Mrs (j. H. Lusk, in lettuce green georgette frock and long cape to match; Messrs N. C. Holland and If. Allison. Mr G. H. Lusk was M.G. and returned thanks to those who had supported this effort. Miss L. Wimsett, who wore a picture frock of floral stiffened organdie with cherry sash and shoes, was in charge of the supper arrangements and had many assistants. Picturesque and comic paper huts were distributed. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs Allison and Mr F. Opic.
