Thero was another very good attendmcc at the weekly. Melody Dance Club ild-time and modern dance, held in the Kmpire Hall on Saturday evening iiul organised by Miss Winifred K. [iubbard. A good novelty programme .vas arranged and a thoroughly enjoyible evening was spent by all. Meinjers of the Maori .Battalion rendered ippreeiative items, while Mr J. Angle ;ang “South of the Border.” A very l might extra was played by Mr R. begg, accompanied by a saxophonist. \ professional orchestra of four play>rs supplied excellent dance music. The lutios of M.C. were attentively carried >ut by Mr Howard York, who also announced that the Melody Dance Club will bold a special “gaiety” night on Tuesday, April 16. Dancing will be definitely “fifty-fifty,” from 8 p.m. til 12; there will also be a fox trot com-
