TABLE-SETTING COMPETITION
THE P BIZE WIN NEBS. The Y.W.C.A. table-setting display held last week at Alossrs Collinsou and Cmmingliame’s showroom was terminated on Saturday morning when the president (Airs C. A. Small) presented the prize money of £5 donated by Dr Kendrick Doan for the winning tables. Up till the last moment competition was very brisk, and at the conclusion of the counting the results stood at a total of £44, with first prizo to the Crippled Children’s Society, whose table netted votes- to the value of £ll ISs 4il, and second prize to the W.D.F.U. whose table earned £8 Is 7d. The Afanawatu County Club table showed the excellent result of £7 13s 7d. The general secretary (Aliss Jones) expressed tho thanks of tho association for tlie happy co-operation of all the organisations who entered tables and had worked enthusiastically to support them : also to the generosity of ATessrs Collinson and Ciiiiniiighame, whose space and publicity made the display possible.
