SPEECH-TRAINING PUPILS.
Miss Babettc Rodgers entertained her speech-training pupils to morning tea at her home in Church Street on the occasion of the annual presentation of diplomas and certificates on Saturday. The dining-room was decorated with bowls of autumn leaves. Mrs T. J. Bodgcrs was assisting hostess. The awards were as follow: A.T.C.L., Misses Patricia Harman, and Ruth Lees; higher local, Brianpeter Forrest (practical and theory), Fay Flood (practical), Dulcie Hoare (practical), Joan Lynch (practical); senior, Betty •Jenkins (merit), Beresford Pegden; intermediate, Nina Courie (honours), Dorothy Langridge (honours), Margaret Watch orn (merit), Morna Bailey, /Marjory Bailey; junior, Pauline Lonn (merit), Anne Langley; preparatory, Maureen Raisin (honours), Coralie Blinkhorne, Shirley Graham, Ingrid Lonn.
