QUEENSLAND FLOODS.

BRISBANE, April 10. John Allen and his 6on, aged 10, and daughter aged eight, were drowned to-day when their home was submerged in the north Queensland floods. Mr Allen’s wife and another woman who took refuge in a tall tree were rescued. The cyclone damage to the sugar crop in Lower Burdekin is estimated at £BOO,OOO. In addition whole farms in the Ayr district have been destroyed, together with live stock, implements, fuels and fertilisers valued at £250,000.
