(From Our Own Correspondent.) OPIKI, April 10. Mr C. Dnvoy presided over a meeting of the Young Farmers’ Club, wherein two new members were welcomed, Messrs A. Barrow and M. Taylor. Major B. A. Norman gave a most instructive address on military affairs. He brought several souvenirs which were carefully examined by the young farmers. Mrs C. Allon, of Wellington, is the guest of Mr and Mrs J. Lankshear. Mr arid Mrs Brown, of Poplar Road, arc visitors to Wellington. The arrival in the rTislrict of a huge bulldozer from the Public Works Department lias created much interest among the farmers. Many visited the farm of Mr P. M. Scanlon, on Mnkcrua Road, to watch the machine at work.
