FIVE O’CLOCK PARTY.
MISS NANCY HAUSMANN. Mr and Mrs Allan Bayliss. at their home, “Almoma,” Russell Street, were host and hostess at a bright five o'clock party on Saturday, held in honour of Miss Nancy Hausmann, of Feilding, who is leaving this week for Dunedin, where she will continue her musical work. The reception hall and drawing-room were gay with tall ornamental jugs of flame and deep cream lilies and bowls of beautifully shaded African marigolds. In the dining-room flame and gold gladioli created a cheery effect. Mrs Bayliss received her guests wearing a scarlet and gold lame tunic cocktail suit, while the guest of honour chose a smart pink linen suit relieved with black, and black accessories. During the serving of ices and savouries, the good wishes of her friends were conveyed to Miss Hn.usmann, who was presented with a bouquet of pink border begonias, carnations and maidenhair fern. Miss Doreen Hausmann. who is also leaving Feilding, received a daintily boxed shoulder spray in .autumn shades. Among those present were: Medames Claude Hostick, W. A. Sa.ndilands, M. Wotton and Misses D. Hausmann, Amy Clark, Marjorie Garrett. Alice Gibson, Dorothy Rurgess, Ivy Dummer and Stuart Davidson.
