ON TERUEL FRONT. LONDON, Jan. 29. The British United Press correspondent at Barcelona says that the Government forces claim that they have surrounded the main body of General Franco’s troops, totalling 40,001), on the Teruel front, as the result of a sudden night offensive after heavy fighting all day, in which they are said to have seized the main roads between Teruel and Saragossa, the insurgents’ northern base. The Government forces are also reported to be advancing from the Guadalajara front on the west and from points eastward of Teruel.
