PAHIATUA, Jan. 28. The Wnndville Bowling Club challenged for the Gosling Stars on Thursday. but the Pnhiatua Club’s rink won by" 20 points to 19. Pilkington, the Paliiatua skip, changed the score from two down to two up with his last howl. Air R. D. Salter has been selected as secondary assistant at the Pahiatua District High School. Mr and Airs G. Godfrey Taylor and Aliss M. Tnvlor have returned from Hawke’s Bav. Airs R. G. AteDougall, of Miramar, who has been visiting Air and Airs H. H. Marsh, Alangamntu. has returned home. AI iss McKittriek. infant mistress at the Pahiatua District High School, has been appointed assistant at the Normal School, Auckland. Pending the appointment of a successor of Mr M. H. Reid, Mr D. Donald, of Wellington, will be attached to the secondarv school staff and Alias Renner, of AVellington, has been appointed as relieving teacher in place of Aliss AlcKittrick.
