JAPANESE PENETRATION.

INTO BRITISH COLUMBIA. NEW YORK, Jan. 29. The Ottawa correspondent of the New York Times says it is understood that the Premier of British Columbia. (Mr T. D. Pattullo) is going to Ottawa to consult Mr W. L. Mackenzie King (Dominion -'rime Minister) regarding apprehension over Japanese peneiration of Canada’s Pacific coast and coincidentally of its defence secrets. Reports that Japanese reserve officers are commanding Japanese fishing boats off British Columbia are expected to play an important part in the Government’s request for increased defence appropriations.
