PILOT’S DEATH.

EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. LONDON, Jan. 30. Eye-witnesses at.the inquest into the death of Mr A. N. MacFarlane, a Royal Air Force pilot, formerly of Balclutha (New Zealand), gave evidence that they saw the 'plane loop three times, after which they heard a crack that suggested something was broken. Pieces dropped from the 'plane. Squadron-Leader Tindall gave evidence that the bomber Mr MacFarlane was using was too lieavy to be looped at a high speed, as there was a danger of the structure breaking. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
