SALVATION ARMY.

MAJOR AND MRS H. BROWN WELCOMED. .Major and Mrs H. Martin Brown were given a public welcome in the Salvation Army citadel on Thursday evening. Major Brown has been appointed to take charge of the Salvation Army work in this district and commenced his duties this week. The 'Major has spent 25 years of his life in Army work and has a wide experience in Christian evangelical work. A few years ago he toured the world, visiting 14 countries, and was able to secure first-hand information pertaining to the Christian welfare of those countries. Airs Brown has had wide experience in nursing and is also a good musician and a talented vocalist. Best wishes for their happiness in Feilding were expressed.
