ROWERS AT SYDNEY.
CREWS IN TRAINING.
SYDNEY, Jan. 28. The New Zealand oarsmen had good work-outs to-day. Denison, who is suffering from slight stiffness, was replaced in the eight by Stowers. The crew showed plenty of power in their Smith sculled in a borrowed boat. The New Zealand crews will give an exhibition row to-morrow during the New South Wales State championships on the Nepean River. All members of the party are well and delighted with the river and accommodation. . The Australian , eight is still experimenting with the placing of the men in the boat. The Englishmen are also not quite satisfied with their placing and are trying the men in different positions. The Canadian four shows steady improvement and is working more smoothly and steadily.
