“A SMALL FRACTION.’*
MR NELSON’S COMMENT.
(By Telegraph—Special to “Standard”) WELLINGTON, Jan. 27. “Just a small faction,” declared Mr 0. F. Nelson, the leader of the Samoan delegation when referring to the cable to the Prime Minister received from the new Maleitoa Party protesting against the delegation being regarded as representative. Mr Nelson added that two villages, with less than 2000 people, were in the new party. They were less than 4 per cent of the population and actually included some Man members.
“They want more power, more faipules and more seats in our fono." concluded Mr Nelson, who explained that he would bring the matter before Mr Langstone immediately the conference resumed to-day.
