RECORD FOR AUSTRALIA. LAST YEAR’S YIELD. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received January 26, 1.45 p.m. CANBERRA, Jan. 26. The Federal Statistician has announced that the grand total of taxation collections in Australia during the financial year 1936-7 reached the new record level of £108,303,392. This did not include municipal or water and sewerage taxes. Taxation per head was £ls 18s 4d, or nearly 9s more than the average of the previous year, and the highest over reached in Australia.
