FEILDING STOCK SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on tho Feilding sale held on Friday last, (is follows:—The yarding of store sheep was again represented mostly by lambs, which came forward in advertised numbers. The quality was from fair to medium, with prices shewing an easing tendency, no doubt duo to the prolonged spell of dry weather, coupled with the drop in export values. Vendors, however, continued to meet the market; therefore practically a total clearance can he reported. Competition is still restricted to local buyers, with an odd pen going to the Shannon and Levin districts. Keen interest was shown in the sale of specially advertised breeding ewes, the finest pen of six-year owes going to the bid of 18s 6d, while the other pen made 22s 3d. The latter pen was sold at tho corresponding sale last year for 30s, Fat cattle found a steady market, as did boner and dairy cattle. Quotations were as follow: —Fat sheep: Lambs, 12s, 17s. 19s, 20s, 22s 9d. (O 23x; wethers, 18s, 20s 9d, 21s sd, 22s 3d. 22s 9d, 23s Id, 24s 5d to 255; woolly wethers, 25s 9d to 27s 9d; b.f. wethers, 21s 6d. 21s 10d, 22s 6d, 24s 3d; owes, 15s 7d, 16s lOd, 17s Id, 19s 3d. Store sheep: W.f. wether lambs, 12s 5d to 13s 7d; wether lambs, 7s 2d. 10s 9d, 13s 2d, 14s 4d; b.f. lambs, 15s 6d, 14s Id, 15s 4d, 16s 6d, 17s 8d; ewes, 18s 6d to 22s 3d. Fat cattle: Vcalers, £2, £2 14s; cow ex dairy, £4, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5, £5 12s 6d to £5 17s 6d; stems, £5 to £7 ss; heifers, £5 15s. Store cattle: Boner cows, £2 10s, £2 15s, £3, £3 10s, £3 17s, £4, £4 10s, £4 18s 6d. Dairy cattle: Spg. hoifers, £4, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5 ss, £7 ss; spg. cows, £5 ss, £6 5s to £6 12s 6d.
