EFFORTS AT SETTLEMENT. BRITISH PREMIER’S DESIRE. RELATIONS WITH ITALY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph. —C opy right.) Received January 25, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 24. Several papers have recently stressed that the Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain), in continuing his efforts towards a settlement of European problems, is particularly anxious to restore Britain’s former good relations with Italy. It has been suggested that Sir Robert Vansittart (adviser to the Foreign Office) will go to Rome with this object in view.
