HEAVY CONSIGNMENTS.

LAMBS FOR WORKS. No fewer than 55 trucks of lambs were despatched from Feilding yesterday to southern freezing works by special train. Including Feilding’s quota, the aggregate number of trucks of lambs which passed through Feilding en route to southern freezing works yesterday was 155. Of that number 100 came from Main Trunk districts. In addition to the above mentioned live stock, 20 vans of meat were consigned yesterday from Messrs Tlios. Borthwick’s local works to Wellington for export.
