PLAY DELAYED BY RAIN. SYDNEY, Jan. 21. In the Sheffield Shield cricket match against Victoria, New South Wales in tlie first innings lost 5 for 177 (Fingleton 15, McCabe 32, Barnes not out 54). / Play was delayed till 2 p.m. because of early showers and a damp wicket. Stumps were drawn at 5.45 p.m. because of the failure of the light.
