PAHIATUA.

PAHIATUA, Jan. 20. Rev. C. M. Roberts and Mrs Roberts are spending a fortnight’s holiday at Waitarere Beach. Mr S. K. Siddells is visiting the Waikanae Beach. Mrs 0. McCardle has returned home after a holiday spent at Wellington. Mr and Mrs G. F. O’Rourke, who have been on a motor tour of the north, have returned to Pahiatua. Mrs J. Mdls, with Mr and Mrs Russel, is visiting Wellington. Miss P. i»'oran, of Palmerston North, is spending the week-end in Pahiatua after a week’s holiday spent at Eastbourne.

The following were the placing,? gained by the Pahiatua swimmers who competed in the Eketahuna Club's sports: Open 60 yards scratch race, E. Staples 2. 75 yards relay, Pahiatua 1. Water polo, Pahiatua 1, Eketahuna 0. 225 yards scratch race, K. Lett 1, F. Staples 2.
