GIFT PARTIES.

MISS PATRICIA EDWARDS. In view of her approaching marriage to Mr J..L. Frost, of Wellington, Miss Patricia Edwards, . of Palmerston North, has been tendered a number of parties by her friends. A pantry evening was given the couple by Mrs McMenamin, of Kelburn, Wellington; Mrs F. E. Sherwood, of 21 Mere Mere Avenue, Palmerston North, was hostess at a bridge gift morning; and a surprise kitchen tea party was organised by Miss Nell Smillie, and taken to the home of Mrs Robert Edwards, of Church Street, Miss Edwards and Mr Frost receiving a heaped clothes-basket of useful gifts.
