PERIOD OF ADJOURNMENT. (British Official Wireless.) Received January 20, 10.30 a.m. RUGBY, Jan. 19. It is anticipated in London that the adjournment of the Anglo-Irish conference will last only a few weeks. In regard to trade, the main endeavour will be to work out the details which should lead to a comprehensive trade .agreement.
TRADE PACT. AGREEMENT IN DISCUSSIONS. LONDON, Jan. 19. The Anglo-Irish talks resulted in agreement in principle on a new trade pact, which, it is hoped, will break down most of the barriers separating the two countries, says the Daily Telegraph’s political correspondent. They also resulted in a considerable measure of understanding regarding defence.
