PROTECTION AGAINST RADIUM.

LONDON, Jan. 18. « A new alloy, nearly one and a-half times as heavy as lead and a correspondingly more effective protection against X-ray and radium radiation, has been revealed by Mr E. Liddiard, of the British Non-Ferrous Metals Association. The alloy is composed of tungsten powder mixed with nickel and copper powders, subjected to considerable pressure and heated above the melting point of copper and nickel.
