PHYSIQUE OF CHILDREN.
IMPROVEMENT IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Jan. 17. Increases of two inches in the average height and seven or eight pounds in the weight of school children in the last 30 years were mentioned by Lord (president of the Board. of '’Education) when speaking at Nottingham in support of the national health campaign. Such signs of improvement in physique, however, should not give rise to complacency, he said, and the Government was making a great effort to ensure that health services were fully attended.
