TOKOMARU.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) • TOKOMARU, Aug. 18. Tho committee meeting of tho Tokomaru Women’s Institute was held to-day in the supper-room. Mrs Mac Nab presided, also present being Mesdames S. Lloyd, R. Atkinson, A. Cheer, and-H. Parr. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs C. Osman and Miss AI. Atkinson. .It was decided to make a programme out for the next six mortths, starting from next month. Tho euchro party hold after the mooting was won by Mrs G. Jennings, Mrs A. Hoskins- winning the consolation prize. Arthur Gyde, a pupil of the local school, has been picked to play in the Horowhcnua representative team. Tho friends of Mrs A Burt will regret to learn that she has had to enter tho Palmerston North Hospital. Mr H. Grey, of New Plymouth, has returned home after spending a month with relatives in Tokomaru. Mrs Waddell of Sprcydon, Christchurch, has returned homo after visiting her sister, Mrs H. Waghorn. Mrs Knob, of Nelson, is opening a holiday with her sister, Mrs H. Waghorn.
