MINERS’ DISPUTE.
SETTLEAIENT ENDORSED
Received August 18, 11.25 a.m. SYDNEY - , Aug. 18.
The miners in the southern and western fields have endorsed the settlement regarding wages reached at the conference last week. The general secretary of the Miners’ Federation said the stopwork meetings and stayin strikes had had more influence with the owners than the federation leaders’ arguments. The “next round” would be fought throughout Australia.
