Two companies of Carlists were mowed down by machine-guns on the Teruel front while unsuccessfully counterattacking on Loyalists who were entrenched in a woodOn the Cordoba front the Loyalists have occupied Zafrilla Mountain and the Zafrilla villages. Dynamiters blew up a laden troop train. After the British steamer Thorpe Bay had embarked 2000 women and children refugees from • Santander, Junkers and bombers raided the city three times, causing panic. Some refugees leaped into the ship’s holds and others stampeded down the gangways to hide in the cellars, and were left behind when the steamer sailed.
