VALEDICTORY.

AIRS W. TEMPLETON. Airs W. Templeton, who left Palmerston North to-day for Groymouth, where she and Air Templeton will make their future litfme, was farewelled by members of the College Street School Ladies’ Committee at a pleasant gathering yesterday afternoon. Airs J. HWhyte (chairwoman of the committee) presided, 9 md presented the guest of honour with a handsome bedroom clock. In asking her acceptance of this token from her fellow, members. All's Whyte eulogised Airs Templeton’s work for the school and said how much they would miss her. Airs Templeton was an example to all committee members, the speaker said, and all would wish the clock to tick happy hours for the recipient. Airs Plank made reference to the fact that Airs Templeton had also given valuable assistance to Ilokowhitu School.

Returning, thanks, Airs Templeton said her committee work had always been a pleasure and she had only endeavoured to carry out her duties. Afternoon tea was enjoyed in the staff room and members o had an opportunity to say good-bye°to Airs Templeton. Other guests of honour were Alcsdames Aitken, Wollerman and Ward, former committee members, and committee members present were Mcsdames Christmas, Cooper, Drake, Duckworth, Hoklsworth, King, Kennedy, AlcLeod, Nicholson, Persson, Robson, Roff, Watchorn and Livingstone (lion, secretary).
