LADY HOUSTON’S ESTATE.
VICTORIAN WOMAN’S CLAIM. Mrs Anna Houston, a widow, of Carlton, Victoria, is lodging a claim on the fortune left b Lady Houston, who died in London last December. Mrs Houston’s late husband, George Muir Houston, who was a clerk in the Victorian Land Department, claimed to have been a neohew of Sir Robert Houston, the millionaire shipowner who was Lady Houston’s husband. The claim is being made through Mr P. J. Ridgeway, solicitor, of Melbourne. Lady Houston left her estate to Miss Juliana Hoare who, however, predeceased her The estate was then claimed by Lady Houston’s sister, Florence Wrey, to whom letters of administration were granted.
