JAPAN AND SIAM.
TRADE TREATY PROPOSAL. The Domei Press Agency, Tokio, reports that Mr K. Murai, the former Consul-General for Japan in Australia, wlio was recently appointed Japanese Minister in Siam, has conerred With traders in western Japan regarding the new trade treaty which he is to negotiate witli Siam. Later Mr Murai sailed for Bangkok, tie will visit Formosa on the way.
