THE JEWISH NATION.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—ln your correspondence columns of yesterday's issue appeals a long letter over the name ot Norman Kelly, lie commences by eulogising the Oxford Group and it 6 advocacy of listening in to God to know His plan tor the world. It is evident from his third paragraph that in iiis opinion the Jewish nation is God’s medium in some way or other to further His purpose in the world. liis reference to the Jewish nation is rather vague, and he would be supplying a need it ne would explain ’want he means by the term “Jewish nation.” Perhaps he would not be averse to answering the following questions : —(1) Who was the first Jew? (2) When did the Jewish nation begin? (3) Who was the first Jewish king? (4) Where is the verse of Scripture which alludes to the choice of the nation as God’s medium to reveal or carry out His purpose? These are straightforward questions and moreover very simple. As we are living in a time when national and international questions are in the forefront for the world’s consideration, the answer to the above questions would give some light on the situation.—l am, etc., A JEWISH SYMPATHISER.
